I was doing so well earlier this month with having post written and ready fore the last couple of weeks. However, last weekend I went through a very anxious slump. Like I wasn’t sleeping well. kept getting panic attacks about nothing. I was putting up a happy face for work and my kids but inside was just off. Last weekend I did everything I could to keep me calm and collected. Which meant not really doing anything but going out for walks and fresh air. And a hell of a lot of reading.
But now I’m back to feeling like myself. Mainly because that time of the month has came and all my previous emotions make much more sense. Hormones, Why? Anyhow, this is the Get To Know Me Tag post. You know, just to get back into the swing of things..

Where did you grow up? I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle and the Cascade Mountains was literally my backyard! I’m from a small town on an island along the coast but within driving distance to major cities!

Where do you currently live? I now live and work in Central South Korea. I’m in the Gyeongsangbuk-Do Province, but I’m only about 2-3 hrs train ride away from Seoul and Busan.

Who is your best friend? My best friend is Erin. I met her freshman year of college.

Funniest moment throughout high school? OMG, that’s such a long time ago. I think it was near the end of senior year when a whole bunch of seniors decided to redecorate our English teacher’s front yard with construction equipment!

What is your favorite drink? Americano

What is your spirit animal and why? Hedgehog because it looks deadly but cute!

You’re wearing perfume, what scent is it? Usually vanilla or coconut

What are your life goals? To travel and see as much of the world as possible

What sports do you play or have you played? I use to run. Haven’t for a while but would like to get back to it.

Have any books you read changed your life? I think it’s called Th Art of Not Giving A F**K and the Harry Potter books.

What is your favorite movie? My favorite movies are the Harry Potter series, Love Actually, Pride & Prejudice & Amelie.

Do you speak any languages and how well? Native English Speaker and a little bit of Korean. I speak enough Korean to get by here, but working on before better at it.

What is your idea of your dream date? A visit to a cool art museum, simple dinner like fried chicken and ramen near the river followed by coffee at a cafe while getting to know each other.

How many siblings do you have? One younger sister

What is your go-to fast food order? Really depends, but here in Korea, at the Lotteria: Shrimp Burger, Seasoned Fries or Squid Rings, and Chocolate Cookie Tornado.

Your most memorable vacation memory? First time visiting Seoul this past year.

What are your morning and evening routines? Morning: I wake up around 5:30 and read until about 6:30. I get up, wash my face and do my morning skincare routine. Before putting on my makeup, I make myself some coffee. Then it’s hair and makeup before getting dressed and running out the door. If there’s time I may have breakfast. Evening routine: I shower and take off my makeup. Then it’s my evening skincare routine before climbing into bed and reading.

Do you have any bad habits? I really have a horrible habit of picking at the dry patches on my lips. Winter is especially hard for me.

Tell us one thing about you that we wouldn’t know? I have a fear of being in water that I can’t see the bottom. However, I have swam in the ocean before and snorkeled in Hawaii. It was a fun and exciting experience that I may have to try again. It did take my BFF a real long time to convince me to do it, but I don’t regret it!
