I had originally planned some other posts but the last two, three weeks have been very hectic and stressful. I had meant to post about what I knew about my EPIK application and status, but everything just got to me quite fast.
First things, on the 8th of January I found out that I was officially accepted into the Spring EPIK program! While I was able to get some paperwork started, It wasn’t until another 10 days later that the dates for orientation and our arrival was announced. Since then I’ve had to let my landlord know I was moving out, give my notice of leave at my office, get my flight situation ahold, start the Visa application process and work on an 15-hour online pre-orientation work. I’ve been busy and trying to not stress about it.
As today, Sunday, the 2nd of February, I have about two weeks until I fly from the Pacific Northwest to Seoul, Korea. And I still have so much to do. However I do know my Visa application has been approved and should show up in the mail any day now. I finished the pre-orientation work last weekend, so the only thing I have left to do before I fly is send over a copy of my Visa to my recruiter. And pack my luggage. And move out of my apartment. And random dozen of other things that are going on in my head.
I did some shopping for my upcoming life in Korea. I finally brought an iPad and wireless keyboard for it. This way, the old Dell laptop can be used for all the things I cannot do on my iPad in South Korea like online orders and banking. Anything that had to deal with money online is only done via Windows Explorer over there. I also ordered a new portable multi-functional tripod. Hopefully I can make some good video about my travels and life overseas.
I’m going to do a post about what I’m packing for my year (and possibly beyond). I have one luggage packed, but I need to lessen the weight. I really need to edit what I’m bringing, or at least spread the heavy items into both of my large suitcases. Well see in my post…
However right now, it’s getting late and I need to relax and sleep before another busy week. My last week at my job, but busy none the less.
