My skincare routine has evolved since my late teen years. It was around my senior year in high school when I started using eye cream. My mom had gotten one of those small sample pots with a purchase of her favorite perfume and had no care for eye cream. My mom wasn’t really big in skincare back then and even now, she does the basic: wash, some moisturizer… maybe a serum. I on the other hand, have gone well beyond cleansing and acne care.
I now follow the Korean 8/10 step skin care that I try to follow everyday. There are some days where it is completely hard for me to do the complete routine, but I try. I split up my routine between day and night since some of the products I don’t need at night that I would during the day.

My morning routine is a little off since I go to the gym pretty early, so I usually only do a face cleanse. Once I’m back, wash my face once again then follow with the following: toner, essence, serum, eye cream and SPF moisturizer. It’s a lot but I’m doing tons of other thing while I wait for each layer to be absorbed. At night, my routine is pretty similar with the exception of two additions and the minus of the SPF moisturizer: double cleanse, exfoliate (once or twice a week), toner, sheet mask (2-4 times a week), essence, serum, eye cream and night cream or moisturizer.
The current products I use:
Yes To Micellar Cleansing Water / Esfolio Egg cleansing foam / Esfolio Goat Milk Daily Toner / beautySkin Cosmetics Emulsion Cream / JJ Young Pore Perfecting Multi-Cream / Frudia Serum / Derma-e Even Tone Brightening Night Cream / Revive Face Sheet Masks

As you can tell the majority of the product are Korean. I mostly buy them at TJ Maxx here near where I live. I could order them online from Amazon, but I like finding new brands to try like my recent purchase of the face serum and the 3-in-1 cream. That’s also one of the reasons why I currently don’t have an eye cream. I’ve been mostly finding eye serums.
(Short update: working on a vlog I took earlier this month. Hopefully I edit and upload it within this week. I plan on writing more posts about my journey to teach ESL in Korea. I’ve got a couple of post ideas I need to work on also.)
Bye for now!
